Important Information Regarding Hurricane Irma
Fields to Close This WeekendUpdated Thursday September 7, 2017 by Stephen Marrero.
Hello Baseball Families-
As Hurricane Irma continues to churn through the Caribbean Sea, she sets her aim on our state and our area. Our league board of directors have met and continue to meet on what this means for our league.
As we know in Florida the importance of preparation for the worst, we all hope and pray this storm passes us by. We want our baseball families to be safe through the storm and have the opportunity to prepare your families and homes. As such, due to this threat, the fields will be closed to all league activities this weekend, and possibly part of early next week. We will re-open the fields once the storm has passed and it is safe to return to our normal baseball routine.
With this field closure, coupled with the already historic number of practice cancellations we have had due to rain and weather, we have made the decision to delay the start of the season (opening day) to September 30th. We will add two weeks onto the back end of the season after Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving week will be an off week).
Thank your understanding and patience during this time.
Please be safe.
